Product Details

At normal temperature, Zinc sulfate heptahydrate is a white particle or powder, orthogonal crystal, with convergence, and is a commonly used Astringent, which will be weathered in dry air. When heated to 30 ℃, one molecule of Water of crystallization will be lost; when heated to 100 ℃, six molecules of Water of crystallization will be lost; when heated to 280 ℃, seven molecules of Water of crystallization will be lost; when heated to 767 ℃, it will be decomposed into zinc oxide and Sulfur trioxide. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol and glycerol. Sealed storage is required. It is mainly used as the raw material for manufacturing zinc, barium and other zinc salts, as well as an important auxiliary raw material for viscose fiber and Vinylon fiber, etc. It is also used as a printing and dyeing mordant, wood and leather preservation agent, bone glue clarification and preservation agent, medical emetic agent and Fungicide, and as a trace element fertilizer in agriculture.

  Hazard

  Hazard Category: Medium

Health hazard: This product has moderate eye irritation and no skin irritation. Misadministration can cause acute gastroenteritis symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and in severe cases, dehydration, shock, and even death.

Environmental hazard: It is harmful to the environment and can cause pollution to water bodies.

Explosion hazard: This product is non flammable and irritating.

Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and rinse with flowing water.

Eye contact: Lift the eyelids and rinse with flowing water or physiological saline. Seek medical attention.

Inhalation: Quickly remove from the scene to a place with fresh air. Maintain unobstructed respiratory tract. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. If breathing stops, immediately perform artificial respiration. Seek medical attention.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water and drink milk or egg white. Seek medical attention.

Hazard characteristics: It cannot burn itself. Toxic gases are released by high-temperature decomposition.

  Harmful combustion product: sulfur oxide.

Fire extinguishing method: Firefighters must wear full body fire and gas resistant clothing and extinguish the fire upwind. When extinguishing a fire, try to move the container from the fire site to an open area as much as possible. Then select appropriate extinguishing agents based on the cause of the fire.

  Operational storage

Closed operation, local ventilation. Prevent dust from being released into the workshop air. Operators must undergo specialized training and strictly adhere to operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear self-priming filter type Dust mask, chemical safety goggles, rubber acid and alkali resistant clothing, and rubber acid and alkali resistant gloves. Avoid generating dust. Avoid contact with oxidants. Equipped with leakage emergency response equipment. Empty containers may have residual harmful substances.

Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from sparks and heat sources. Prevent direct sunlight. Packaging sealing. It should be stored separately from oxidants and should not be mixed for storage. The storage area should be equipped with suitable materials to contain leaks.

  Leakage handling

Emergency response: isolate the contaminated area and restrict access. It is recommended that emergency personnel wear Dust mask and general work clothes. Do not come into direct contact with leaks. Small leakage: Avoid dust, sweep carefully, collect and transport to a waste disposal site for disposal. Large amount of leakage: collected and recycled or transported to a waste treatment site for disposal.

  purpose

  1. Used for preparing zinc supplements, astringents, etc.

  2. Used as a mordant, wood preservative, bleaching agent in the papermaking industry, as well as in pharmaceuticals, artificial fibers, electrolysis, electroplating, pesticides, and the production of zinc salts.

  3. Zinc sulfate is a supplement of zinc in feed, a component of many enzymes, proteins, ribose, etc. in animals, participates in carbohydrate and fat metabolism, and can catalyze the mutual transformation of Pyruvic acid and lactic acid to promote growth. Zinc deficiency is easy to cause incomplete Keratosis, dysplasia and hair deterioration, and can affect animal reproductive function and use.

According to Chinese regulations, it can be used for table salt at a dosage of 500mg/kg; 113-318mg/kg in infant and toddler food; 130-250mg/kg in dairy products; 80-160rag/kg in grains and their products; 22.5-44mg/kg in beverages and dairy beverages.

  5. Used for artificial fiber coagulant. In the printing and dyeing industry, it is used as a mordant and an alkali resistant agent for dyeing with blue salt. It is the main raw material for manufacturing inorganic pigments (such as lithopone), other zinc salts (such as Zinc stearate, basic Zinc carbonate) and zinc containing catalysts. Used as a preservative for wood and leather, as well as a clarifying and preserving agent for bone glue. The pharmaceutical industry is used as an emetic. It can also be used to prevent diseases in fruit tree nurseries and to manufacture cables and zinc fertilizers.

  Individual protection

Engineering control: closed operation, local ventilation.

Respiratory system protection: When the dust concentration in the air exceeds the standard, you must wear a self-priming filtering Dust mask. When rescuing or evacuating in an emergency, an air respirator should be worn.

Eye protection: Wear chemical safety goggles.

Body protection: Wear rubber acid and alkali resistant clothing.

Hand protection: Wear rubber acid and alkali resistant gloves.
